New in | Swarovski Slake Bracelet

Working part-time in a jewellers not only means that I'm constantly surrounded by the most amazing accessories, but it also leaves me lusting after pretty much every item we stock. After trying on this gorgeous Swarovski Slake bracelet every shift for the last month, I decided I would finally treat myself to one. After a long decision as to what colour I should go for, I eventually opted for 'deluxe blackto match my other rose-gold jewellery. I love how the crystals sparkle when they catch the light, and the utter simplicity of the wrap makes it a key piece that can be dressed up or down - perfect for the Christmas party season!

The Ultimate Chelsea Boots

Despite already purchasing about 4 pairs of heeled Chelsea Boots this winter, these Hunter beauties have gone straight to the top of my December wishlist. The metallic look as inspired by their A/W outer space runway is a hit for me, and they're even waterproof! Who said fashion can't be practical?! Shop their other amazing colours here.

Best of | Whistles

After recently finding the perfect pink coat (see here), I've since been obsessed with everything Whistles have to offer. Using my newfound love for greyscale colour palettes as inspiration, here I've rounded up a few of my favourite items from their online store - including this amazing longline blazer; perfect for those crisp, autumn mornings. If only my student budget could tenfold...

The Perfect Candy-Floss Coat

I've been on the hunt for the perfect pink coat for 'yonks now, so when I came across this faux-fur marshmallow beauty on Whistles earlier I fell in love. After a short-lived debate with myself as to whether I really need any more faux-fur coats this season, I decided that the sheer warmth this coat could provide was justification enough. oops.

WGSN Visit

To supplement current university studies, yesterday we visited WGSN's Air Street headquarters in London. For those who aren't familiar with the agency, WGSN is one of the biggest trend forecasting bodies in the world, with hundreds of luxury and high street brands alike subscribing to the service every year. During the visit we were able to gain more of an insight into the role of a trend forecaster, as well as make a slight detour to the V&A to see the current fashion photography exhibition, Horst. After finishing the day off with some retail therapy on Oxford street and a bite to eat at Byron's, I guess it could be said that life as a fashion student isn't all that bad...

October Wishlist

As a new semester begins and autumn descends upon us, I'm finding it increasingly difficult to dress for the weather. Being too warm for coats (yet too nippy for T-shirts), this River Island slouchy knit paired with some chunky boots and a bucket bag would be my ideal go-to during the transition from autumn to winter. *Charcoal eyeliner, big lashes and a spritz of Chanel also compulsory.

Autumn Monochrome

Jumper: River Island | Shorts: Monki | Shoes: Sol Sana | Glasses: Wildfox | iPhone Case: Local Hero | Bag: H&M | Watch: Casio

Triangl: Milly | Santa Rosa Splash*

With Triangl taking social media by storm I was already all too familiar with the Aussie swimwear brand, so you can imagine my excitement when I was told I could chose a set as a gift from the Triangl team. With the summer months in mind I opted for the 'Milly' Santa Rosa Splash set after falling in love with the intense blue colour, however I can see many more of these amazing bikinis creeping into my shopping basket in the very near future...

MFW | Moschino's Barbie World

We all had a Work-out Barbie, a Roller blading Barbie, a Golden Dreams Barbie - but had you ever dreamed of a Moschino Barbie? Just when we thought we had seen it all Jeremy Scott pulled it out the bag again, plundering all things Barbie World in his second season for Moschino. From the gold trench coat to the pink Moschino tracksuit, I was infatuated by the entire show. Guilty as charged - I love it!

NYFW | DKNY Dreaming

As NYFW comes to a wrap, I can't help but dedicate a post to Monday's DKNY show - the indisputable winner of the week for me. Oversized, urban and effortlessly cool; the collection took the sports-luxe trend and reinvented (then owned) the look through a mashup of bold colours and geometric prints. From coloured neoprene to platform sneakers and baby hair, Donna Karan nailed it.

The CK Revival

I love the 90's trend at the best of times, so it'll come as no surprise that I'm absolutely loving the recent Calvin Klein x Mytheresa Re-Issue project. With the gorgeous Lottie Moss (supermodel Kate's younger half sister) as the face of the campaign, the recreation of the famous 90's ad that first launched Kate into stardom triggers real nostalgia. Think waist-banded underwear and denim jackets - I'm certain the entire collection will soon shower the streets (and Tumblr) for a true CK revival.

Black 'n Blue

I've been after another pair of skater shoes for ages, so when I saw this pair reduced to just £7 in the Topshop sale I just had to get them. I love the checked style, and the comfort makes them perfect for those casual summer days. I'll be teaming mine with some boyfriend jeans and my new black bomber jacket that I picked up in H&M the other day - another staple steal!

OOTD | Sports Luxe

I'm a huge fan of the sports-luxe trend that's come about recently, so when I saw this gorgeous tee in H&M for just £12.99 I snapped it up immediately! I bought it two sizes larger so it can be worn as a slouchy-tee for those casual days, yet still be dressed up with a pair of heels. It's a lovely style and feels far more expensive than it was - bargain! As for my ripped jeans, these are a product of a little DIY. Although not as classic as some of the styles that can be purchased on the high street currently, I'm quite pleased with the outcome! A top tip for those trying at home: avoid cutting into a pair of jeans with scissors and instead use an abrasive material such as sandpaper to wear away the fabric.

Weekend Wishlist

I can't seem to stop buying sunglasses recently - there are so many different styles on the high street that I just love! I'm not sure if it's this recent summer weather, or simply because they make any outfit that little bit more chic! Below is a round-up of my favourite items this month, including this gorgeous pair of 80's inspired specs from Nasty Gal.

Bank Holiday Favourites

Whether it be time off work or a break from revision, I'm sure many of you are making the most of the sunny bank-holiday weekend! Below is a round-up of my favourite items found on the 'net this week, including ALDO's gorgeous leopard print ankle boots - now just £50 on ASOS! Go on, treat yourself...

Midweek Must-Have

Browsing the internet to look at more clothes I can't afford has become a frequent pastime of mine over the past few weeks. I'm not sure if it's because I have more free time on my hands being the Easter holidays, or simply because student life does not permit those erratic spending sprees that I so long and miss. Either way, the phrase 'you always want something more when you can't have it' is certainly applicable when it comes to this gorgeous Elise Coat from Hobbs (see here). The Céline inspired laundry-bag check looks perfect in navy, and teamed with some killer heels and a pair of black cigarette trousers - this coat is the key to a trophy outfit. I am just in love.

April Wishlist

Here are the items I'm loving this month, aren't the Céline sunnies just to die for?! Paired with a pink lazer cut top and gold accessories, this would be the most perfect outfit for any occasion. Oh, if only money was no object...

The awkward first post...

Being my first blog post, I'll keep this short and sweet for now... with no followers at present, the concept of talking to cyber-space is somewhat awkward. I thought a good place to start would be to begin telling you a little bit about myself, and what to expect from my blog 'Style Rehearsal'.

My name is Rebecca, I'm 19 years old and I'm currently studying Fashion Marketing at Winchester School of Art. As an avid follower of all things fashion already, I thought it was about time I set up a blog of my own - so, here I am. The name Style Rehearsal, much to my regret, holds no sense of sentiment nor meaning but is rather the product of countless attempts of thinking of a memorable yet personal URL that wasn't already taken. 'Rebecca-Kate', 'Fashion narrative' and 'Life of a fashion student' were all credible contenders; however after keying 'Style Rehearsal' into the little white box and seeing 'username available', it was an instant hit for me.

So, what to expect from Style Rehearsal? As a rookie blogger at present, I am primarily looking to improve my blogging skills and networking presence... so for now expect travel snaps, wish-lists, what I'm loving in the fashion world, reviews, outfits I'm sporting, and anything else I happen to think or do in the not too distant future!
